The
Local Area - Brittany, Côtes d'Armor
Keryvon is situated in central Brittany, in the
Department of Côtes d'Armor, in an area of outstanding natural
beauty, peace and tranquillity close to the village of Saint Guen.
Nearby is the small town of Mur-de-Bretagne that
borders the Lac Guerledan, known locally as 'little Canada' for
its lovely scenery. At the lake you will find safe sandy beaches,
tennis courts, restaurants, mini golf and children's play areas.
With the larger towns of Pontivy and Loudeac both
within a 15 minutes drive away, there is an excellent selection
of restaurants, shops, banks and well stocked supermarkets.
Forests, lakes, rivers and the beautiful Nantes to Brest canal
are within close proximity.
There are excellent well sign-posted rambling
and cycling routes on easy to find tracks through the woods, along
river banks and quiet roads. Cycle hire is available locally,
or bring them with you.

Getting
There
Brittany
Ferries operate between Portsmouth and Plymouth to the ports of
St Malo. Cherbourg or Roscoff. St Malo to Keryvon takes approx.
one hour 20 minutes. Contact us for discounted ferry crossings.
Nearest airport is Dinard with daily Ryanair flights from Stansted.
Car-hire available at the airport www.avis.co.uk.
Directions
Coming from St Malo port take the Dinard, Dinan direction to reach
the N12 towards St Brieuc. As you reach the town of St Brieuc,
take the right hand lane, D700, direction Loudeac. Follow signs
for Vannes Lorient, Loudeac, remaining on the D700. When you reach
the Uzel roundabout, it becomes rural as you take the D35, direction
Mur de Bretagne. We are the next village after Le Quillio. Turn
left into St Guen on a narrow road, church on the left and Chez
Isabelle opposite. At the centre of St Guen take the D81 towards
ST THELO and drive up the hill, past the boucherie and depot de
pain on your left,bar and tabac on your right. Drive 1.5 kms and
you will see a blue and white sign on the right “KERYVON”.
Turn in and drive a further 0.5 kms, bearing to the left when
you reach the top. Bon voyage. You will find a welcome basket
in your gite.
